Summary: Without giving too much away since the film is still current, there's one scene in the movie where a character wakes up inside one of the alien pods (think of the previous movies). It was a really striking visual, and I wanted to see it recreated but with Jensen in the pod. In my mind Neo's equivalent would be Jared, Jensen would be Trinity, but if you'd rather imagine it the other way round, go for it!

Notes: I originally imagined Jared as the creature, and Jensen as the janitor, but my concept consultants changed my mind. The title is from Juliet's speech to Romeo.

Summary: An alternative to the last third of Season 3’s Mystery Spot. Months after Dean’s final death in a parking lot in Florida, Sam is on the road hunting the Trickster. The last thing Sam is expecting is a genuine alien encounter, but that is what he gets.

Notes: This spn_cinema story originally landed in my head like the Starman on Earth, in an amorphous but promising form. This is not a straight re-telling of the Starman story with Sam as Jenny and Jensen as the Starman – it’s a SPN interpretation, but hopefully it’s faithful to the spirit of the film, and to SPN!
Per aspera ad astra means ‘through hardship to the stars’.

Here's the first of my spn_cinema fills. I'm not that thrilled with it but...

Title: Red

Movie Prompt: Hero
Pairing: J2
Rating: PG
Word Count or Media: Traditional art - Pastels
Summary: The colour is red.
Notes: This didn't go well. Me and traditional media have a rocky relationship. The film uses colour beautifully as it tells the same story of love and betrayal from different points of view. There's a fantastic scene where the two women protagonists are dresses in shades of red and fight each other while golden leaves fall - that's what I was trying to capture.

This is the final version, which is a combination of two traditional art pieces mashed up in Photoshop. The colours were enhanced by duplicating layers and using hard light on the top one.( Read more... )

Notes: Warnings: Apparent/temporary character death. This fic bears only the sketchiest resemblance to the Gary Cooper movie. (Which might be just as well as I watched it when researching for this and it was pretty bad!)
