Thanks to our magnificent Countess,

12mowrimo, I know that my 2017 word count is 152,679. I'm definitely happy with that, even if that productivity hasn't translated into masses of stories on here.

Victor and Reidy were a few minutes west of Teec Nos Pos on the US-160 when the reports came in of a shooting near Yah-Tah-Hey. The FBI wouldn’t normally be interested in disputes on Reservation land, but Victor exchanged a significant look with Reidy when the details filtered through. The report mentioned three things that got Victor’s pulse racing - a weird blue light; an apparent miracle; and last but not least, two male suspects taking off from the scene in a black classic car which might have been a Chevy Impala.

Here's the first of my

spn_cinema fills. I'm not that thrilled with it but...

Word Count or Media: Traditional art - Pastels
Summary: The colour is red.
Notes: This didn't go well. Me and traditional media have a rocky relationship. The film uses colour beautifully as it tells the same story of love and betrayal from different points of view. There's a fantastic scene where the two women protagonists are dresses in shades of red and fight each other while golden leaves fall - that's what I was trying to capture.

This is the final version, which is a combination of two traditional art pieces mashed up in Photoshop. The colours were enhanced by duplicating layers and using hard light on the top one.( Read more... )

I've been pushing myself to try new things this year so here I am, venturing outside of SPN. Ok, in some ways, I didn't venture very far, since I can't help but think of Jason Todd as being played by Jensen Ackles...
This dcu_bang fic is A New Taste of Love by Empires & Salvatore, and as you might guess from the title, it's a love story - though the two protagonists don't realise it, and have to be taught a few lessons first. Which, by the way, is a trope I have a huge fondness for!

Once Where's Wally came into my head, I couldn't do anything else! LOL

I can't believe I've made it this far - only two more days to go! In honour of that, and because we know our boys are together forever, have some Wee!Chester unity.

Because I'm British, I couldn't go with fall being autumn, and having done climb, I didn't want to go for fall as falling down, or falling over, so that left me with this... and J2

I wanted to try a wet paper technique but my results were far inferior to the ones

goss has been doing on dreamwidth's

drawesome, but it was fun. And I love that I didn't waste a new bit of watercolour paper as I used the back of the piece I'd messed up the other day for the Deep inktober one! LOL

A little joke

Indian ink, masking fluid and a touch of watercolour. Oh and proper watercolour paper!

Back on schedule in spite of myself! Done with brush pens and wash, and I refuse to say anything negative today (also in spite of myself ha ha ha!).

So I had a bit of an Inktober mare yesterday, but I said I'd post everything regardless, so I am. LOL
Plus my creative sketchbooking course has started again so I'm due a post of the experiments we're being pushed into.

First the Inky nightmares...
The prompt was Filthy, and I had this bright idea about having Dean cleaning the Impala.
Attempt number one - using masking fluid and Zebra brush pen.

This had to be a fannish one - in fact, it's my first Dr Who fanart, I think.

The Tenth Doctor with an Adipose (because they might eat kids but they are kind of cute, nonetheless).

( See pic )The peachy lighting is actually thanks to Hurricane Ophelia turning the sun a pinky orange this morning. Apparently the air was full of dust from the Sahara, which turned the sky yellow and made the sun go sunset colours at 11am. Now (2pm) it's bright normal sunshine and VERY gusty winds.

Done with my Japanese Zebra brush pen, my new Zig coloured brush pens and a wash.
