Congrats to my lovely author, Euxellis for cracking on and finishing this WIP in spite of exams! I enjoyed dabbling in the DCU for a change, and the Looper idea is a good un!

Jason Todd, meet Tim Drake...


Process is unexciting:
Researching poses (used a screen cap from the Walking Dead for Tim with the shotgun, no reference used for Jason), sketching and then drawing the final scene in my Arches sketchbook to paint. No progress pics because Flickr doesn't like .heic files and I haven't had time to convert them.

Time for another SPN_J2_Bigbangspn_j2_bigbang! I thought I'd have a quick look back and I've been doing this challenge since 2011 and done 16 artings for different fics, making this art for a cute J2 story by SamAndDean76 samanddean76my 17th! Without further ado....

Realised I'd forgotten to cross post here! So this is a bit of a catch up.

So fun to take part in a new event aimed at bringing all sides of fandom together, the SPN ProShip Big Bang. Hopefully it will become a fixture in the SPN calendar. Many thinks to the mods for setting it up and making it such a welcoming place.
My author wrote an interesting AU spin on the Winchesters and their destiny, make sure to check it out HERE on AO3!

I started off thinking I'd do something in watercolour, but I kept working on my initial sketch of Cas and Dean trying out some new coloured pencils and ended up liking the effects I was getting, so ran with the coloured pencils for the Crowley side too.

The timing of the bang wasn't the best for me, as this time of year is when loads of design deadlines fall for the sculpture trails, so I only did the two drawings in the end, mashing them together to form a single image.

Descended_from_Hufflepuffs was a pleasure to work with, and I enjoyed their take on the Winchester brother's unbreakable bond!

 My second SPN_J2 BB spn_j2_bigbangis for another of my fave authors and people - zubeneschamali, and as a bonus, one of my fave tropes - superpowers!

My second SPN cinema is a collab with my frequent and awesome partner in crime, amypond45. It was her choice of movie but I knew I was in good hands, and as always, it was a pleasure to come up with some images for her story. I don't think any of the art is spoilery.

As usual, I didn't do as much as I'd have liked, but it is what it is. At least, unlike amypond, I wasn't battling covid while working on this!

Process
I did the Jared portrait first - pencil sketch, inked with fineliners then coloured with Ohuhu alcohol markers. No idea what I'm doing with the markers so I was pleased how it turned out!

The banner is also a pen and ink drawing, with a touch of coloured ink, then I added text and background digitally

A rare foray across the fandom divide with this year's Marvel Big Bang. I was lucky to snag shinysylver's slow burn Stony fic, Toward the Sun . Not only is the story really good, but shiny was a joy to work with.
A sensitively written AU where Tony survives the End Game snap and Steve doesn't stay in the past, it's a really nice characterful piece that doesn't neglect the rest of the ensemble cast.

I've decided to post whatever I do, even if I don't like it. So.
SPNovember Day 3 - Blood calls to blood.
I was thinking about what to do, Sam with demon blood, something kind of horror maybe, but then I thought about someone talking about siblings having blood harmony, and then all I could think about was our boys and their soulmate bond.



Just thinking about that look on Dean's face when he sensed Sam there makes me tear up. I don't think I did it justice but never mind. I has the feels regardless. I love these two so much.

Same as the others, Artgraft soft carbon pencil and wash, with some fineliner.

I may well only do one - my record on daily challenges is poor - but here's Graveyard.
Looks like things haven't gone well for Dean.
