SPN Cinema - Conan the Barbarian

My second spn_cinema. It just had to be done, right? Jared as Conan, Jensen as the very annoyed not-so-helpless maiden.


And here they are, in all their glory. NB that includes manly bare torso and pale bare buttocks, so maybe considered NSFW.


I actually finished this off yonks ago, back in June, I think. I did it in a nice 100% cotton sketchbook which lives at my mum's house, which meant any temptation to carry on adding details or fiddling was foiled. Probably just as well, though I would have liked to add a few more bodies to the battle scene.

I posed two figures using the Pose app - it's a bit clunky. Some of the anatomy on the reference wasn't quite right, so I did make some adjustments.
Anyhow, here's the stages it went through.
Pencil - two colours beause I thought I might get muddled about whose limbs went where.

Ink with fineliners

First few layers of paint.

Same thing for the background (yeah, I cheated and photoshopped the two pieces together)


And voila - done. Or nearly. Once I'd out the figures on the background I realised the vultures were in the wrong places, so I moved those around a bit too.
All the colour is watercolour - I think mostly Da Vinci.

I'm using this one https://apps.apple.com/us/app/artpose/id836464625 I think. It's on my iPad and it's not as easy to use as I'd like. For some reason I keep getting them in weird angles so their feet are too big etc. But it is useful sometimes when you can't find a reference that's in the pose you want. I had to mash two of these models together in Affinity too, since you can only have one figure at a time.

Here I am as promised♥
First I want to tell you that your Jensen here is gorgeous. I love his facial expression and his butt flap is hilarious. The totally metal blood and guts on rocks.💪 I love the added touch of snakes in the skull. The epic bloody sunset, broken spears from Jared's fallen enemies, and hovering crows just finish it.
I really like how you shaded the skin, especially the pinker tones in Jensen's skin. Jared's hair is soft and fluffy looking!♥ And he has chest hair! 🙌
It all makes me smile. It's awesome, Amber♥

Lol, I just had a funny thought. I wonder if part of the reason Jensen has that face is not only outrage that Jared is picking him up, but also pain because he's crushing his junk on his hard muscular arm. Oh no. 🤣

jensen's face cracks me right up. it's such a great expression. also, that ass! i do love a nice butt. :D and jared makes such a beautiful barbarian. i might have swooned. slightly. (i mean, look at his chest! holy cow.) and one of the nest things? there's such humor in the foreground, with the guys' expressions and pose and that tiny scrap of fabric exposing jensen's lovely ass, but the background is so metal with the spears and the skull and the blood and the ominous sky. it's a fabulous contrast.

I kind of wish I'd thought of doing this for the reverse bang, it would have been fun to see what an author would have made of it. 😁
