The original prompt was this creepy SOB. No idea where this came from...

It was done using thick white acrylic paint to give texture, then watercolour over the top. I wasn't sure it would work, but I reckon it was quite effective!

Bonus extra

This one was done in ink and watercolour, then the hand added digitally because my scanner is busted.

Wow that is a creepy monster! Thanks for mentioning the technique incase I ever want to do something similar. :-) what a whopper of a story to work on!

The trick was to use the acrylic thick in parts but leave some gaps where the watercolour could still reach the paper. So the eye sockets, nostrils, mouth, and centre of the forehead circle had virtually no acrylic.
