Title: The Three Musketeers

jj1564 and I were going to work together on this one for spn_cinema, but sadly my partner in leather and lace had to pull out of the challenge. I'm hoping this piece will provide her with some inspiration to finish her story, because I want to read it!

I found a tutorial (Blue Lightning TV on Youtube, check 'em out, they are brill) shoing you how to create lettering so it looks like stone, or metal. It also showed me how to bevel and shadow, and I had such fun creating the swords and the title using these techniques!
Jared's costume is not from the 1970's film, I fiddled and overpainted and layered this from one of the BBC's promo pics. Which is why the clothing looks so much better than' Jared's wee face, which was all mine own. It was that or I'd have defaulted too so. It is what it is. Hopefully y'all will have a smile at it anyway.

OOh, love it! I actually especially love the close-up of Sam's face-- his eyes are gleaming so beautifully, and though it's a smile, his expression is so poignant. Great job! <3

JJ cast Jensen as Aramis and JDM as Athos. I'd be more inclined to have it the other way round, but I always was an Athos girl. I was always a sucker for the broody, tortured hero.

Hmm! That's a tough call. I could see Jensen in either role, but JDM definitely strikes me as Athos. Too bad JJ had to drop. Someday, maybe!

The BBC series is just called The Musketeers. Don't expect anything like the books or previous films by way of story line but there are handsome boys in lots of leather, and it's great fun.

Well, your amazing Jared as D'Artagnan has certainly got my creative juices flowing! He is truly beautiful, his face is perfect, all wide-eyed innocence and joie de vivre, plus truly glorious hair! And then his leather-clad body....*drools*

The costume was a bit of a mess in a way - I'd painted over the photo, and it looked quite light and different, then I layered up and it came out darker and much like the original photo but bluer LOL
