Title: Wake up, Jensen
Movie Prompt: The Matrix Resurrections
Pairing: J2
Rating: T
Media: Traditional art
Summary: Without giving too much away since the film is still current, there's one scene in the movie where a character wakes up inside one of the alien pods (think of the previous movies). It was a really striking visual, and I wanted to see it recreated but with Jensen in the pod. In my mind Neo's equivalent would be Jared, Jensen would be Trinity, but if you'd rather imagine it the other way round, go for it!
Notes: Many thanks to

It's an oil painting! First since I was at school and only the second in my life, LOL. These are water-based oils, so I don't know how different they are to normal oils, but I loved that there was no faffing with oil or turps to clean my brushes. It did dry slower than acrylic, for sure, and I noticed today it's still feels a little tacky and it's been at least 4 weeks since I finished it.
I only took a couple of progress pics because I forgot - here's one before I'd covered my bright underpainting.

And this was my original concept sketch, which would have been more dramatic a pose, but would have required me working much smaller/more detailed on the canvas size I had chosen, and that was beyond my skill levels!
