Pure self indulgence with my camera today - all the glorious autmum colour we are having is so wonderful, and we had sunshine all day too. The perfect combo. Plus we went to Bury St Edmunds for their mini Sci Fi Fair, which meant it was time to have a photo with the Tardis. Naturellement.

First off, I'm sorry I haven't responded individually to all your kind and supportive comments yesterday, I did read every one of them and am grateful for all of them. A couple of people have asked if I mind prayers amongst the good wishes and of course I don't mind. All forms of postive thoughts are very welcome. Thank you all very much.

Dad's been getting unresponsive over the last two days and Mum just had a call from the consultant to say the pressure inside his head is building again - so obviously the bleed isn't healing on its own. We only have two choices -
leave it to run its course and see him progressively decline as the pressure on his brain increases - and we don't know what that would be like for him, but it would have to be pretty bloody scary if he's aware of what is going on, or
they will operate - which they say is high risk, especially as they might have to go in more than once.

Mum told them she thought he'd want to take the risk and I agree it's a risk that has to be taken. I have to say, it's Hobson's choice. If we leave it, he'll definitely die and it will be slow and sad and hard to watch. If we go the operation route, there is still a chance he will survive and be able to have a decent quality of life. I know what I'd want if that was me.

Mum's going back in to the hospital tomorrow morning at 8am to discuss it with the consultant, and then they will take him to Stoke for the operation, where they have a specialist unit.

Two posts in a day! I thought some of you might be interested to see my Mum's garden. I probably should have done this vid in the morning when it was proper sunny all over, instead of this evening but never mind, hey. As you will gather from the background noise, there is a main road just over the field at the bottom of the garden, hence the constant traffic.

It's unedited and five minutes is probably too long but there you go!

We made it home very late last night (or rather early this morning) and now we both feel like we have jet lag - which is impossible from a European flight, but never mind!
A few last piccies from me and then normal service will be resumed.

Today at breakfast we met up with Brit friends we haven't seen for about 3-4 years which was lovely. Breakfast in this hotel is interesting - we have potato salad with chopped gherkins, egg mayonnaise with chopped peppers, scrambled egg with bacon, salad bits, rice pudding with sliced apple and raisins (which is delicious) and lots of different breads, smoked cheeses and other stuff I haven't really looked at because it's meat.
