A long, long time ago, Marvel Trumps Hate 2020 had an auction to raise money for charity. The Marvel Art Party on Discord put together a package deal of 9 artists, of which I was one. We were won by the dynamic duo, Mystrana and Greywrites, and after much faffing and deliberation about what to do, I finally managed to finish my offering! Mystrana and Greywrites were happy for us to share with the world, so you can check all the fills in the

Without further ado, I present Witch Bucky and his familiar, Alpine the cat, flying over some medieval city, in a far distant and happy AU.

The naked except for boots version came first, pants were added digitally!
After finally making the decision about what to draw, the process was pretty simple.
I had been wanting Bucky to be flying on his broomstick, when I saw some photos taken using a special lens which showed the scene in a kind of inverted global view. I also looked at medieval maps with the building drawn in street view style, and decided to combine the two ideas for the background.

It's drawn in pencil, inked then watercoloured. The paper was round but wouldn't fit on the scanner so it got cropped into an ellipse. 😂
Bucky was drawn and painted on a separate piece of watercolour paper then I mashed the two scanned paintings together digitally. I adjusted the colours to reflect the actual colours as the scans leach a lot of the vibrance out. Other than that, there's no digital interferrence with the traditional art.
Here's the Bucky painting with his basket/sack of companions. Up to you whether he or Alpine have bewitched the actual Avengers or Bucky's made the plushies for his cat to play with. Either way, little Plushy Cap is happy to hold onto Bucky's finger...😍
