Two lovely flisties have birthdays today - de_nugis and fairyniamh. I hope you are both having lovely indulgent days!
I know you both love cats, so have a tub full of kittens in lieu of something homemade.

I got home to three parcels - Paul had messaged me while I was away with a plaintive "are you ever going to stop shopping?", so I knew I had stuff waiting, but one of the parcels was a lovely surprise from kalliel! Woot! Which also meant I could pretend the fake fish I ordered for a JIB photo op which arrived too late to take could be passed off as part of the parcel. Sorry about that, kalliel, but I really didn't want to go into the whole explanation of Salmon!Dean and get another eye-roll. you should have seen his face when he saw the inflatable grenade launcher pic and the giant doughnut... ha ha ha!

So THANK YOU, my sweet kind friend. The wee shark is very cute, and I am very excited to try out those embossing pens!


And this was certainly more exciting than my Posca pens which was the other parcel. Now I have a year to decide whether to take the fish (which is not a salmon and would have to be disguised) to JIB9...

Seasonal lovings and much happiness to everyone - especially anyone I forgot to send an actual Chrissy card to. I didn't find my mailing list until it was way too late, by which time I couldn't remember which folk had a card already and which didn't.

On a happier note, Paddington Bear wishes all my US friends Happy Thanksgiving.

Apologies to everyone for my unhappy Happy post yesterday. Posting last thing before bed time is probably not the wisest time to start an embarrassing self-pity-fest, and I knew it was a bad idea at the time - my finger did hover over the disabling comments for a moment. But then I remembered times when flisties have posted things and done the whole no comments thing and I'd been frustrated, so I left it open.

Anyhow, thank you for all the kicks up the proverbial backside, pep talks and general slaps round the head for being an idjit. I don't usually whinge, I prefer to be Dean-like in my stoicism, and keep all that unpleasant lack of self confidence hidden because no one loves a moaner. Including me. So don't worry, I won't make a habit of it!

Back to being British, normal service is resumed.
