Jensen is grateful the Olympic athletes’ accommodation is so (relatively) lavish this time. The rooms are spacious, and the provision of an en suite is a real luxury compared to four years ago, when unless you’d been able to hold on until the middle of the night, there was invariably a queue for the bathrooms. The only downside is the thinness of the walls.

The one where Jared wakes up one morning to find a penguin in his hotel bedroom.

Chapter 1 - The Awakening

Jared wakes up in increments. The first stage is a vague awareness that he exists, closely followed by the pained realisation that existence is overrated. He’d swear someone has replaced his brain with a jellyfish and his mouth tastes like rotting fish. Added to which woes, his chest is --weird. Kind of itchy and scratchy and weighed down with something warm but prickly.

I was feeling sad today - wrapping a much diminished pile of presents just emphasised all the people who are missing and it just didn't feel right. So I thought I'd try some drawing instead. (Of course, I should have been writing instead but - yeah).
I wanted to try something more controlled and using zones instead of the more organic shading I'd normally do, so I started with pencil outlines then once I was happy with the proportions, I inked it. Just a fine Stabilo felt tip pen.

And it retained some of the pencil texture. Nice. No colour in the irises yet, or freckles...

I wanted to try a clean line style drawing so started this one without any references - which is why he's ended up not awfully Dean/Jensen-like. Never mind. I've inked the outline now and am wondering what exactly to do next with him.

Had a suprising amount of time and now I've only got 2 people left to do - Jason Manns and Tahmoh! Woot! Oh and we have free slowi- fi so here I am to annoy y'all. *wink*

I know I should do the other peeps first instead of starting with my faves but I'm weak and needed a bit of rock god Jensen to go with rock God Chuck and shaggy god Jared.
I'm starting to like it now!

Jensen is a mixture of two Vegascon photos, one by wolfpup2000, the other I'm not sure the source, and I made up the hand gesture, because our boys are very fond of it! And yes, I know it's usually Jared doing it but well, this is an interpretation :D Oh and I've no idea if Jared really is a Mavs fan...
Now I've only got Tim, Mark S, Tahmoh, Misha, Gil, Richard and Jason to do!

Meanwhile, in the square below, the small crowd of spectators parted to allow through six men holding a large tarpaulin. After some more shouting and much gesticulation, Jensen and the Kilted man held hands and leaped off the Clock Tower, landing with a bounce on the stretched tarpaulin. Belleville had never seen such a thing in all her long life, and was very impressed. The ladies in the crowd seemed equally impressed, though their interest was more engaged by the view when the wide kilt flared like a silk parachute on the way down, providing everyone below with quite a spectacle.

Sometimes Kevin hated the Bunker.

Scratch that. Sometimes Kevin hated EVERYthing. He hated being stuck underground with only two self righteous, self absorbed, frighteningly lethal hunters for company most of the time. He hated being stuck in the Bunker alone when the Winchesters sloped off to save the world again. He hated the fucking angel tablet with its indecipherable scripts and the weight of the expectation that landed on his thin shoulders every time Sam or Dean looked at him with hopeful expressions to ask “how’s it goin’, kid?”

He hated being called kid.

I've a horrible feeling there is more, and I've forgotten... If I'm supposed to be doing something for you and haven't mentioned it here feel free to poke me!

I was dying to draw Jensen from that gorgeous new promo pic, so I started over the weekend on a digital version, but hated it. So I went back to basics and today I tried to do him in pencil (because you can't beat that softness you get from real graphite...)

I knew this wasn't quite right, though it was getting there after I made his nose shorter - I do have a tendency to make faces too long. So I've opened it in GIMP and tried an overlay, so now I can see exactly where it's off - and how much I had actually got right! Which is really encouraging! I am a very happy bunny right now.

So I need to taper his face more towards the chin, and widen his mouth a little. Looks like I refined his nose a little too much too thought the length is pretty spot on! Hurrah!
Oh Jensen, why so pretty?
