Blood will Flow

There has been some controversy about this one, but I'm recommending it without hesitation because it's brilliant.
The Persistence of Memory by blackrabbit42 is so much more than a love story, and even more than a fascinating concept (though it is both of those too). It's thought provoking, it's insightful. It provides a beautifully sympathetic look inside the head of a talented autistic young man, and inside the head of another young man with an affliction that is strange and terrible in its consequences.

It's not light and fluffy, but it it is gorgeous. It will pull you in and not let go.

And the art is beautiful too.

My first entry for SPN_MEANTTOBE - done to accompany my lovely friend BLACKRABBIT42's charming wee tale of cake-decorator!Dean and confused!Sam.
The prompt was Last Minute Proposal, summary as follows:
Cake-baker Tilly is taking part in a charity job-swap, and when she's paired with ex-military maverick Campbell Sanderson, they get off to a rather sticky start....
Campbell is all hard angles to Tilly's cozy curves. It's the winning that counts for him, and it's clear Tilly will need her hand held every step of the way....
Despite himself, Campbell finds that something about Tilly always coaxes a smile. But he refuses to be tempted, no matter how bright and bubbly she is! That's before they share a showstopping kiss....
