Warnings: pure silliness
Summary: A surprise encounter for the Winchesters. Happy Birthdayblackrabbit42, this was inspired by your recent Impala encounter!

“Dean?”
Sam rested the paper bag of shopping on the roof of the Impala, risking Dean’s bitching about grease stains in the face of his brother’s weird, fixed expression.
“What is it? What’s wrong?”
Dean jumped, staring at Sam as if he didn’t recognise him. His mouth opened and closed, and Sam had to bite his tongue to avoid telling Dean what a great impression of a guppy he was doing.
“You’re there. I mean, here. I mean… I thought…um.”
“You’re not making a lot of sense, you know,” Sam pointed out, before grabbing the bag and opening the car door.
“Dean, why is there a rabbit in the car?”
Sam had to admit it was a very cute rabbit, one of those long-haired types, kind of chestnut coloured and…oh. Sam chuckled.
“You thought it was me? Really?”
“Well, come on Sammy, it just suddenly appeared inside the Impala and sat there looking at me with that sad, hungry expression, what was I supposed to think?”
Sam shook his head as Dean slid in behind the wheel, the rabbit sitting expectantly between them.
“Well apart from anything else, Dean, it’s a girl.”
“Yeah well, that figures, Princess,” Dean retorted, grinning. The rabbit thumped, clearly eager to be on the move. Dean turned the key and Baby roared. The rabbit jumped onto Sam’s lap, and he thought for a second she’d been scared by the noise. Then he realised her trembling was excitement. She stretched across to place her paws on the dash, her pink nose quivering.
“Let’s go for a drive,” Dean said, absently stroking her silky fur with his free hand. Soothed, Sam dozed off, only to dream about sunlight on grass and having lots of sex.
But the weirdest thing was – exactly forty-two miles later, the rabbit just – vanished.
