bt_kady just had a hysterectomy, and they found tumors in the organs. Hopefully, the biopsy will show that it didn't spread yet. Nevertheless, Kathy has to expect a boatload of medical bills that she won't be able to pay. She has a Gofundme page where you can donate directly, or you can help by participating in the auction, and/or spreading the word among your friends.

As many of you have likely seen on various newspapers and news stations around the world, millions of people from Syria have been displaced by the fighting going on in the country. Some have fled to the surrounding Middle Eastern nations but as those neighbors have been maxed out many more have continued onward to Europe and elsewhere in search of a safe place to live. Many have traveled with very little if anything in the way of day to day needs and the various agencies are struggling to provide anything more than just the bare essentials for so many people.

alycat made a post yesterday on her journal highlighting the difficulties the refugees are facing and asking for help going above and beyond to take care of them. So now I'm amplifying that call and passing it along to all of you by running this charity community.

As of right now there will be at least two options, either buy it now or traditional auctions with the possibility of more being added later if there's an interest. Both the buy it now and auction posts will open tonight, October 8, and run until Thursday, October 22, 11:59 pm Central Daylight Time. balder12 won one of my offerings in the fanworksauction auction for sylsdarkplace - and by the way it is not too late to donate even though the auction is now over. So balder asked for some art to accompany this rather beautiful story, and I was happy to oblige. Everyone is Trying to Get to the Bar has some wonderfully descriptive passages, with amazing imagery about Castiel's true form, and the nature of Heaven once you get outside of the human regions, and I thought I'd give one particular scene a go.

Initially I liked what I'd done, but now I'm not sure I'm happy with any of it! So I've stopped fiddling and will let you judge. And read the story, if you haven't already!

Likes: For art, again, I'll try anything once but I do like drawing faces. For fic - M/M as long as it's not pwp (I'm more about the romance LOL!), dark stuff, H/C, plotty fics

Squicks/Dislikes: Fic - MPreg, Femslash, pregnancy generally, scat, toilet humour, under-age ...if in doubt about either likes or dislikes, PM me and ask. I'm happy to discuss.

Minimum bid: Fic $10 for up to 3,000 words, art $10 for up to 2 characters, t shirt design $15

For the t shirt design - I'd produce you something suitable for you to load on Redbubble yourself if you wanted, or I can load it on my site for you to buy at cost (no mark up). The design can be exclusive to you.

I'm offering one of each - one fic, one art work (it could be something for one of your fanfics or something else entirely, I'm open to chatting about what you want) and one t shirt design.
