There’s angst, first time sex, and Winchesters in drag.  What more could you want?

S10E08 episode reaction (no fic yet!)

A quick drive-by post because I just had to thank my flisties for the discussion we had the other day about Sam and Dean's relationship. It meant when the boys were in the Bunker discussing Jody's case, and Dean turned the patented Puppy Dog Eyes on Sam - I actually cheered and shouted "role reversal!!!"

Got to say, Sam does them better. But I suppose he's had more practice!

So that aside, what else. Donna is ace, I love her so much - how she's trying so desperately to be jolly so people will like her, how she is visibly hurt but hides it, how she's (like Dean) a LOT smarter than she looks, and occasionally she's brave enough to show it. Jody is brilliant and the two of them together were a perfect storm of kickass womanhood combined with comedy and a dash of angst. I REALLY want to see the SPN spin off being the Sheriffs Mills and Hanscum show (going by the writer's spelling for that one). Of course it won't happen because a) women b) middleaged women c) lack of imagination.

Oh another cheering out loud moment - the coroner was that hilarious woman from Stargate who had hiccups and was brilliant. Under used here I thought, but still, made an impact. And of course, the fake badges...

And I laughed when the dumpster ate that bloke.

Musical moments of note - they played the Family theme music not only while Dean and Sam were talking at the end but for Jody and Donna too, and I loved that implication. And of course - The Weight!

Just as a heads up, I'm still taking prompt requests for my fundraiser!

As things stand right now, between fundraising and my own contributions (namely, sneaking in as many extra hours at work as I can before my manager gets annoyed), I have $450 towards my first tuition payment (due a week from today), which leaves me just $97 short. And I have to say, that is amazing, and I can't possibly thank you enough if you've left me prompts or contributed or helped me spread the word. You guys are the best. ♥ When I first realized I was going to have to come up with this payment so quickly, it seemed completely impossible. But now I feel like I can totally do this thing!

So please please please, if there's anything at all you'd love to see me write for you, stop by and leave me a request. I've been having so much fun writing so many different things, and my muse is awake and active for the first time in a very long time. :D

Help! Beta brain needed...Update - sorted!

I've nearly finished my SammyBB - it's a minibang; it's about 6400 words at the moment. Apart from a thorough beta'ing, I really need some advice about the ending. At the moment I am not sure it really has one...but what is there might be ok, I just can't tell any more.

If anyone could give it a read and just let me know what you think about the end-problem, that would do me for now. If you have time to beta it as well, that's a bonus!

The summary goes like this: Set at an unspecified time during Season 10. After an argument Sam stalks off and eventually Dean goes searching for him. Unable to find Sam, Dean returns to their motel room to find Sam is trapped inside an invisible cage in the middle of their room. Dean can see into the cage, but Sam can’t see out. Between them they have to find a way to free Sam from this prison.

Presently there is no wincest, though it could be implied.
