My second artings in the the 3rd annual samdean_otp minibang challenge are for the lovely roxymissrose and her fic Shadows.  Read it here.
Summary: Season one background.  Dad's somewhere unknown, Dean's bone-tired and weighed down knowing that Sam is counting down the minutes until he can leave. Dean's a hell of a big brother, so he does Sam a favor and jumps ship first. What Dean doesn't know is that he's carrying a souvenir of his last hunt; it's hiding in his dreams.

Drag Queen Winchesters
Done a Sam half and half to go with my Dean for my Sam/Dean Minibang. The story is here.
I couldn't find such a high res photo of Sam to play with but this one came out reasonably well.  If a little bit more freaky than Dean's!!  I think sam could have done with a wig with a longer fringe (ok, ok, bangs to you from the USA).

As my artist never materialised, I thought I'd make my own cover art for my story.
I found a photographer who'd done these stunning yet freaky photos of drag queens with only half their face and hair made up, so thought I'd see if I could do something similar.  If I get time I'm going to do Sam next! Edited to say - Sam is Here!

Summary:  After Sin City, Sam and Dean take a case on a cruise to the Carribean, thinking it’s going to be a bit of light relief from trying to figure a way out of Dean’s deal.  Even the fact that they have to masquerade as drag queens to blend in with the convention on board the cruise ship doesn’t put Sam off.  But the case turns out more complicated than they expected, the monster they are hunting is an ancient being who is hungry for life and has set its sights on Dean.
There’s angst, first time sex, and Winchesters in drag.  What more could you want?
Warnings: Swearing, anal sex
Authors note: Thanks to my two excellent betas dragonlit and keep_waking_up for all your help and advice, hopefully I’ve got rid of all the errors you spotted and only introduced a minimum of new ones!  I did actually do some research and the New York drag queen outfitters I mention does actually exist (though they don't sell shoes...). I've never been inside so all of that is pure fantasy - I hope the proprietors of Planet Pepper won't mind me using them as inspiration for those scenes.

Nobody wants my minibang story... *sniffle wiffle worry*.  Probably because I wrote such a totally crappy summary LOL.  I was reading it today thinking - why didn't I tell artists about all the visual stuff instead of waffling on about the same thing about 3 times? Doh, what a plonker.  UPDATE TO SAY - my fic now has a home! Woo hoo!  (I nearly typed PUDATE which is kind of interesting).

Still, I've claimed a really interesting story, I am looking forward to reading it and coming up with some ideas!  It was the bit about Jung in the warnings that caught my attention Warnings: misuse of Jungian archetypes, cursing, end of season 6 AU, drama/angst

So here it is, my 2nd post for the samdean_otp mini bang.  This one is for the_milky_way 's I Just Thought Maybe We Could Find Ways to Fall Apart.  The fic master post is HERE.

Summary: This was supposed to be a simple cursed object case. Locate, retrieve, and lock up, you know. Since they are the Winchesters, things are never simple, though. With flashbacks of a past that never happened, a frighteningly clueless brother and time missing from his memory, Dean's pretty sure he's losing his grasp on reality.
Wouldn't be the first time, only his delusions never before made him wish they were true.

I ended up not having as much time as I would have liked to create pieces for this one, which was a shame, but I hope y'all like what I did anyway.  If you want to see any of them larger, just click on them to go to photobucket.

First the banner (which ended up being the only purely digital art I did)

I made two text/chapter dividers



The knife and onions were drawn in PaintToolSai, the coffee cup was done with Corel Painter Essentials.
Then I decided one scene particularly appealed to me (could be considered spoilery for the fic so it's under the cut).
