I have nearly 5k words written for a RPF AU which was going to be my Team Free Will bang. Except I am so stuck it's not funny, and I think a big part of the reason I'm stuck is that the original idea was never meant to have Misha/Castiel in it. This was just going to be a (short) story about Jensen with issues, and his growing relationship with new boy Jared. There was going to be a prisoner, a rescue and reunion, and that was about it. But trying to make it fit as a TFW by adding Misha in there (especially giving him equal weight to J2) is doing my head in.

80% drafts are due tomorrow. I've no idea whether what I've got is 80% or 20% or what the hell it is, and I don't know if I can finish it at all - even though in theory I don't have to have a completed fic until September.

So advice please.

Do I

pull out now and write this story how I originally wanted to, minus shoe-horned characters?

switch it from RPF to SPN and see if that frees up the log-jam?

send in what I've got as my 80% and keep plugging away at it in the hope that I can lick it into shape before September?

Bearing in mind that some poor artist is going to get lumbered with it if I carry on.

At the moment I'm angling towards door number 1.

I'm going to the London Film & Comic Con on Saturday and am getting an autograph from a certain actor - so I thought I'd try using the new pastels on coloured paper techniques to create something for him to sign. But, dear flisties, does this look enough like him to ask him to sign it?
All concrit gratefully received.

If it is recognisable and not too awful, I'll use this. If it needs tweaking I can have a go. If it's not good enough I'll start again. The colours haven't photographed quite right, this makes it look like there's a lot of white on his face that isn't so glaring on the drawing. (I think/hope).

I signed up for both art and writing for the DWBB, which is great, but I have NO idea what I want to write. Especially or mor particularly, what I want to write that hasn't been written before by either me or by someone else (and no doubt better than me).

I've got some WIPs languishing in folders on my laptop, but I'm not sure any of them have enough meat in them to get me to either the 5k or 10k minimums. I've also got a folder full of random ideas (most of which are only really any good for J2s though).

Maybe you chaps can help me decide. Here's what I've got already, either WIPs or just ideas:

Sam brings a girlfriend called Fleur back to the bunker. Dean isn't happy about it and thinks there's something off about Fleur, but he can't quite put his finger on what it is that is upsetting him - apart from the obvious - that having Sam banging a girl in their bunker is somewhat disturbing. Then Sam goes missing one night, leaving Dean and Fleur to look for him. There's owls and Celtic myths involved, and I've got 2k of this one written.

Dean adopts a stray dog called Angel who can see portals into other worlds and has imaginary friends. Nothing written at all on this one so I'd be starting from scratch with no plot, or anything more than that sentence.

Northern Exposure. A season 2 case fic that takes the boys to a remote town in Alaska to tangle with an Innuit witch. This one features some hurt!Dean, because that's what I do. I've got over 5k written but it's been sitting on my hard drive for 5 years so i'll probably have to rewrite it all.

Dean, the Queen and the Campervan. Sam & Dean encounter a VW campervan broken down in the desert and Sam volunteers Dean to fix it. Turns out it's owned by a drag queen on her way to (somewhere). I dunno about this one, it's kind of based on a weird dream I had about Dean and the actual Queen of England. Which might be also one way to take this idea.

Pretty is as pretty does. Dean is the victim of a spell or potion that makes him irresitibly attractive. It's funny until it isn't. I've got about 800 words written of this one, but no idea where the story should go.

At th moment I'm leaning towards #1 but I honestly don't know!

I thought I'd stick the photo of my Tom Ellis watercolour into PS and see how it might look if I was to work on it some more. I overlaid the reference photo I'd used and discovered all the proportions were actually ok, apart from I'd made his face too wide. So of course I couldn't resist fiddling. Once I'd done that I got rid of the reference and tried enhancing the drawing with some linework and shading.

This is the result.

Ok. I had this idea a while ago about staging a mock lap dance in one of my double photo ops. I've even got some fake money to stuff in the lap dancer's pockets...

Originally I was going to do this in my Jared and Misha op, but I've got a lovely trashy Romance cover I want to try for that one now, so I'm thinking this could be my Jensen and Misha op. But WHO should I ask to be the lap dancer?

I want to get Jensen to do it but I'm scared of him LOL. So Flisties - do you think it should be Jensen or Misha?

Or should I do this in one of my J2 photos instead?

I found this on tumblr, and I, for one, am takng some comfort from it. I shall just continue to endeavour to be a good writer.

Just because you can write a well-structured story with dynamic and consistent writing and characters doesn’t mean you will be popular. And sometimes stories that have disorganized plots, mediocre writing, and/or OOC characters will be held up as the greatest things to ever exist.

Just because your writing isn’t popular doesn’t mean you are a bad writer. Don’t ever compromise who you are, who your characters are, your plot, your writing style, anything for the sake of readership.

There are popular writers everywhere. But there are only so many good writers.

So Redbubble now have graphic t shirt dresses and I had this idea for one - but does it work? Does it look cool or does it look weird?

dreamweaver37's accounts that were deleted (but not purged yet) and since I assume you shared some very private information in it, it poses a security risk (personal stories can and often are used by manipulators, they use the information to find out your weak spots and use them against you, pretend to go through the same as you did to get closer to you and get your attention).

My suggestion would be to create a new closed community, maintained by trustworthy users since the idea of the comm in itself is not a bad thing.
