Just varnishing to go! Phew!

By Jove, I think he's done. Finally! Now I have to varnish him. This bear is being sponsored by a company called Biomass and they've given me some special varnish that is supposed to keep my bear free from bacteria - apparently they are going to go round the trail swabbing bears to show how their product keeps mine so much cleaner! LOL

I enjoyed doing the snake. I'll have to look up which one it was supposed to be. All the creatures are endangered and South Asian, though they might not actually share a habitat with the Sun Bear.

It's hard to photograph him in the living room - the light isn't great and you can't get far enough away. I'll have to get some pics when I go and see them both on the trail!

I can't believe he's done! How many sculptures have you painted this year now? It's epic :) The difference between the beauty on his front and the desolation on his back is so stark and a good visual reminder we need to take better care of our planet. Well done for finishing him hun :D

We can submit up to 5 designs so I've got some ideas, not really started on anything yet. Paul's sister had a great suggestion - a Hare-y Biker! LOL

Thank you! I've been seeing some of the other bears on Twitter and there are some amazing artist (professionals unlike me!) so I'm a bit concerned mine are going to look a bit amateur in comparison. It's going to be a cool trail to wander around though!

I love his eyes, they look a little sly and sideways, like he's a bear who slinks. Fabulous work.
