Stuff and business

Sketchbooking class was fun last night though I'm not sure I ended up with the kind of page I was supposed to - well it didn't look much like anyone else's, any way. But I enjoyed myself.
The idea was to explore how a page could provide future inspiration and also to look at fitting a number of different unconnected images onto the page. Steve brought this box of miscellaneous oddments again, and some pcitures from magazines, and I ended up with the wee vase, a fox and a lacrosse match. When I'd finished with those three, I got another couple of pics to fill the spaces, and then we ran out of time.

Before that, there was Asylum 17 - sadly minus
milly_gal and
jj1564, but in the good company of
dizzojay,
chellexxx,
andiivalo and
xlittleangx. With no big name guests, and around 1000 attendees, it was a pleasantly chilled affair. When JDM was announced,I'd bought an upgrade which included all the photo ops, but of course, he cancelled. So that left me with a load of photos ops that I didn't really want that badly, so I gave some away. Then me and Ang shared because it was more fun that way, and had doubles and triples instead of the singles I had tickets for, so these are the ones I ended up with.
The magnificent Lisa Berry - what a stunning looker and so enthusiastic about the whole convention experience. She's going to be a great addition to the convention circuit so I hope she gets invited to loads now.

We bought coffee lounges with her and then they merged the lounge with Jessica Heafy's, so we had bonus Gwen Campbell. Jessica was lovely too, they are two intelligent and awesome ladies.
As Corin was there, we had to have a badass Campbell picture - Corin told me when I got his auto that he was standing on tiptoes! LOL

Seb was there, and his photo was first thing on Saturday. I hadn't found anyone to hand my photo to, so I went for it - this is him pretending to rip his shirt open for me. His panel was actually fun - not headache inducing at all. He did sing, dance and was lewd - but he also spoke Spanish, did a couple of Shakespearian speeches and wasn't totally crass. It was all funny rather than cringe-worthy, which was a relief!

Adam Rose was master of ceremonies, though he didn't seem to do an awful lot on stage, but he was in this trio with the lovely Tyler and Theo, so - bonus. I didn't get Adam's auto because he was an extra, and I've already got it. They were supposed to be photo bombing us...

Theo Devaney is a really intelligent guy, he speaks really well and loves stage acting, and I think that shows. Not in the photo! I mean in the panels LOL
DJ's panel was hilarious, I think he took one question in between telling long rambling stories about someone shitting all over his house and telling everyone how much he hates Creation. He thinks they are evil; which is interesting. If I'd had a coffee lounge with him I'd have asked for more detail!

Back together again - the Ghostfacers. AJ is SO much more relaxed and happy on stage when Travis is with him, it makes a huge difference. They spent most of their panel touching each other up - AJ has that handlebar moustache and was rubbing it on Travis' neck, so we went for a groping photo op and got this.

So that's it, a whizz-bang quick round up of my last few days. Now I'm home, ith a ton of emails to catch up on and no chance of seeing everything I missed. Hotel wifi really sucks. Never mind.
