gorkonelka wants to know - what is your favorite art for J2 or Dean+Sam :) Or your favorite Sam or Dean pic

In reverse then - one of my fave Dean pics

by petite_madame (of course). Hurt!Dean also of course - my fave flavour of Dean. Alone and trying to sort himself out. Where is Sam, I wonder...?

One of my fave Sam pics, by kleinmeli (though actually this is a bit naughty of me because it's really a Jared pic...)

I love how few lines she uses and how superbly acurate the likeness is. It's also one of my all time fave Jared photos she's used as a reference!

I love the subtle colouring, the texture, the sexy, intimate, loving pose, Jared's huge hands...it's beautiful

Actually, this is too hard so I'm going to give you three that I love for different reasons
First Everything goes away by our darling quickreaver

So much story packed into this one - dying, desperate boys, neither able to survive the other. It just sums up the Winchesters for me. (And of course there is a story to go with this...)

Second Beer and a pie by loonylucifer

Our boys, so young yet already more together than most brothers will ever be.And what wonderful colouring and awesome wallpaper.

And thirdly - by lamapan

Totally gorgeous watercolour - love the washed out colour, the sense of cold and the boys having a moment (probably a BM, you know? LOL).

I could go on, and on... there are just so many great pictures and artists out there. Oh you know what, for the hell of it, here's one of my fave Dean & Castiel arts too. Consider it a bonus.

That pic of Sam (Jared) is so perfect!

The J2 pic...Jared is freakin' huge! It's awesome.

Quickreaver's and Chomaisky's I'd seen before, but they still blow me away.... dark and beautifully drawn, both of them.

Wee Sam and Teen Dean. Love.

And I love the washed out look of the one of the boys by the Impala. Just something cold and private about it.

There are SO many great artworks out there, I have a huge number saved and bookmarked so trying to just a single favourite is truly impossible...even picking this list I could have chosen another completely different selection and been just as fond of each piece.

Yes Dean's expression is so lost and lonely and stoic in that first one, and it kills me.

That is a tough, tough question. I have loved 'Hiatus' by MARIKaArt for a while, but I'd never seen the rest of your pics. The look on Dean's face in the art by petite_madame is just perfect. UGHH that woman slays me. The Jared/Sam portrait is pretty perfect as well. Jared certainly has the superhero squint down perfect, tip-tilted eyes or not. Great line work.

And all the detail in quickreavers! Weechester Sam is pretty awesome too and I loved the limited colour in chomaiksy's and lamapan's work. Sometimes less colour just does so much more, right?

These are all truly amazing pieces of artwork, but what strikes me most is the eyes in that first Jared one, very very good, the spark you see in Jared's eyes is there in that drawing. Gorgeous!

Glad I found one you weren't familiar with - I suppose given the sheer volume of work P_M does, it's not surprising we have missed some... Yeah, I have a real fondness for watercolour and it's sad the two most talented watercolourists (lamapan and salty_catfish) have either gone or migrated to tumblr)

Fabulous choices, all of them. I think I would have some kind of mental breakdown if I had to choose my favourite art. There are so many truly exceptional pieces out there that I'm constantly left gaping like a fish out of water. Petite-madame and Quickreaver are so consistently good that I can't recall ever seeing anything by either of them that I didn't fall in love with immediately.

I hadn't seen the Purgatory piece by Chomaisky before and I have no idea how that one got past me, it's stunning. I've never seen anything by Loonylucifer so there's someone new for me to check out.

I have to say the MarikaArt drawing has always been one of my all time faves. I think it was one of the first J2 art pieces I ever stumbled across. The Jared portrait is stunning. Not only a magnificent likeness but I have a real thing for traditional art. The watercolour is so beautiful. It's a really difficult medium for small detail and they've done such a great job of it, it has such atmosphere.
