Dizz just reminded me I took some photos in the snow because I thought those of you who regularly suffer proper winters with 6ft drifts might find this amusing. Plus, town did look pretty!

The snow has arrived in England, all 2 inches of it - which means general panic, cars breaking down, trains not running and much amusement from the rest of the world where it snows properly.
We've been watching cars trying to get up our hill all morning with varying levels of success.

Before you laugh too hard, remember we do only have snow once every couple of years or so, and don't have things like snow ploughs or chains or special tyres.

And because I love this, here's Captain Picard.

A day behind so here's Day 1 and Day 2 combined

Day 1 - In your own space, talk about why you are doing the Fandom Snowflake Challenge?

Simples. I'm a lemming for challenges! Show me a challenge cliff and I'm most likely jump off it... A couple of LJ friends were enthusing about this one, and when I had a quick look it didn't appear too onerous. So here I am, testing the snow.

Day 2 - In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts.

Mmmm. Just after Christmas, isn't it a little bit rude to be asking for more presents? LOL. Ok, this is quite hard, but I think I've got three.

some more comments on a few fics not many people read - or at least, not any commented on! Specifically Beautiful Neighbourhood and All American Boy

any art for any fic I've written.

a story for any art I've done that doesn't have words to go with it.

Summary: Christmas in the bunker – nobody’s dead or particularly demonic but Castiel is puzzled. Why does everyone want to kiss him?

Accepting the Winchesters’ invitation to a Christmas party should not have been this hazardous, Castiel thought. He dodged Charlie’s flailing arms, only to smack into Kevin. Who promptly climbed Cas like a tree to plant a huge, rather sloppy kiss on Castiel’s cheek.

‘Lemme, ‘s my turn!” Charlie tugged at Kevin who slid down on top of her to form a giggling heap on the floor.

In the background Crowley was belting out Star of Wonder with Sam, demonstrating an excruciating lack of harmony.

Cas tried to make his getaway, only to walk into Dean’s arms.

“Mistletoe crown, Cas? Really?”

“Snow’s gotta be three feet deep. There’s no way we’re going anywhere until the ploughs arrive in the morning.”

Jody helped Donna bank the fire nice and hot before pulling a couple of paperbacks out of her bag.

The two sheriffs sat in companionable silence, broken only by the rustle of pages turning, until Jody gave a great guffaw.

“Oh man, ‘like staring into the sun’, Dean, really?”

“Gonna read Tall Tales next. Mine’s a bit sad, they’re just drinking beer and staring at the stars.”

“Yeah, those boys. Killing you with laughter one minute, killing your heart the next.”
