Snowmageddon is nearly over - apparently

Dizz just reminded me I took some photos in the snow because I thought those of you who regularly suffer proper winters with 6ft drifts might find this amusing. Plus, town did look pretty!

The sun came out and I kitted up for a walk in the park. By the time I managed to get into my snow boots and multiple layers the blizzard was back but the park was chocker with Brits with toboggans/sleds. Because one thing we love doing apart from moaning about how cold it is and how no transport runs the minute it snows, is playing in the stuff.

I'm not sure this chap even had a toboggan...

Meanwhile, the tropical palm monsters await the arrival of Dr Who

St Margaret's church - hey, this would make a good Christmas card! LOL

Then I walked down into town and the blooming sun came back out! Dammit.This is St Lawrence's church, which is now a cafe.

Greatt set of pictures - I especially like the really snowy monochrome ones - they really look eyecatching. I love the snowy palm monsters - just waiting for a tardis to materialise inamongst thhem!!

Hee hee, I love the tropical palm monsters! The church in the snow would make a lovely Christmas card, so would the manor house. It's all gone here, a bit of sun yesterday melted the lot!

There was a bit left this morning here, then we had a few hours of sunshine and that melted most of it. The rest is being washed away in the rain now. I know it's inconvenient but it was pretty. :D

Lovely pics!!! The joy of so much snow only lasted the first few days for me, and then it was just a nuisance. It's started to melt up here and a lot of the roads are now reopening (although not all of them!)
