Rewatching Season 6 Episode 16 - damn, I miss Rufus and Bobby! The CW definitely missed  a trick not making those two their spin off show. Just think, we could have had Rufus and Bobby sassing each other on hunts while Jody and Donna did the same but different - it would have been kickass and hilarious, and the Winchesters could have dropped in occasionally so that Bobby could call them idjits and Jody and Donna could talk about them taking their shirts off. Awesome!

News travels fast in Heaven.  Bobby’s scarcely had time to reunite with Karen (for the third time), before Rufus turns up brandishing a bottle of Blue Label.  No sooner have they sat down with Karen’s best peach pie than Ellen and Jo arrive.
“Better make more pie,” Karen says, to much applause.
Later, Jo’s finishing the story of her first hunt and Rufus has found Bobby’s 30-year-old malt.
“Speaking of ectoplasm, Bobby ever tell y’all ‘bout his first poltergeist?  Ended up smothered in black goo, regular Tar Baby.”
Bobby’s scowl can’t survive the laughter.
“A big hairy baby,” Karen smiles.

As they crashed through the window, Jensen was anticipating a perfect take.  It was late in a long day, and this scene was supposed to be the last, as Bob had said this stage was set up for a single take.  And it was perfect, until his shoulder crunched into what felt like solid concrete instead of the anticipated landing cushion, and he heard Padalecki’s anguished yell echo his own.

 

“Fuck!”
