I'm visiting my mum at the moment to celebrate her 84th birthday, and today we had a day out in Hereford. We picked the right day - after a cloudy, misty start the sun came out and so the various stained glass windows in the cathedral were shown off to their advantage. Plus in the afternoon, a choir and orchestra were rehearsing for their evening concert, so we were treated to some totally appropriate music while looking round.

It's a beautiful cathedral, and you were lucky to have atmpspheric music! My Sam was born in Hereford and we visited there a few times when I lived in mid-Wales. I hope your mum has a very happy 84th :)

I've been once before but that was many years ago. It's a lovey city!
