Yeah... the thing that gets me when I look at this is that Sam isn't just tired because he can't sleep. He's just tired of it all. This boy has been through SO much. Surely he deserves a rest.

That expression of Dean's guts me every single time. The brothers got barely two minutes together, but what a couple of minutes they were! So much emotion, so much story in just a few expressions.

This is lovely! And I adore the font you selected. However, Dean trumps the "I'm tired" line - he first says it in S2's Croatoan. And that slays me because in retrospect it was so long ago... if he was tired then, two seasons before spending 40 years in Hell, how must he feel now? But JP's face there is amazing - as is Dean. Poor BOTH OF THEM!

Poor boys, they look even more wrecked 5 years later--as they should, considering all they've been through. I have to rewatch that episode, these gifs make me realize there is much more for me to get out of it a second time around.

I just keep coming back to look at your banner. I don't have anywhere I can use it, but I like looking at it. I should just save it to my computer.

You know what's sad, is that we don't really see Sam express how tired he is, he's always continuing to push on. Even when he hasn't slept in 5 days he was still pushing on (trying to help the girl). So, it was really sad to see him say that he was "too tired" and then the expression on Dean's face?! It's like he wasn't gonna accept that, not from Sam who is never tired, who never gives up. You can see the determination on Dean's face and throughout the episode, when he doesn't give up on Sammy. Poor babies ♥

Yes this was the first time Sam ever looked close to giving up, and even then like you say somehow he couldn't do it and kept pushing himself.
