Yup, I couldn't resist. Thanks jj1564 for distracting me from what I should be doing! LOL

Movies I love:

A random one: Cool Hand Luke
Action: Raiders of the Lost Ark
Drama: The Sting
Western: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Horror: None! I don’t do horror…
Comedy: Life of Brian or Trading Places
Romance: House of Flying Daggers
Noir : Blade Runner
Disney : Brave (or maybe Old Yeller)
Sci Fi : Serenity
Animated : Wallace & Grommit
Superhero : the Captain America ones
War : King of Hearts or Das Boot
Exploitation : had to look this up! Apparently Spaghetti westerns count, so I’ll go for the Man with No Name
Muscial : Moulin Rouge
Historical : Troy
Shakespeare : Rosencranz and Guildenstern are Dead
Bad : I dunno. If I thought it was bad I wouldn’t love it, right?
A Childhood Favourite:  True Grit
A Teenage Favourite: Romeo and Juliet (the Zeffirelli version)
A Franchise : Avengers
A Trilogy : Lord of the Rings
A Guilty Pleasure: Stardust (though I don’t feel guilty about it!)
Recently Seen: Hidden Figures
Favourite of this Year: Kubo and the Two Strings
Favourite of All Time: Princess Bride

Yay to so many of those! (I think I've seen about every one!)

I used to make favorite top 10 lists (almost annually) for books, movies, actors... but it reached a point where I had watched my favorites so many times that I could barely stand to watch them any more. And then I didn't know how to rank them after that. LOL!

Some of my faves I haven't actually watched for many years, but like you say that can be a good thing. I tend to do that with music, listen to songs over and over until I find I don't actually hear them anymore.

Nice list. I almost put Princess Bride down. but Labyrinth won out in my heart.

There are some movies that are just so bad, they're good.

There are some awesomely bad movies, but I couldn't think of any that I love and online lists of 'bad' movies didn't help me... I'm sure there are loads of films I love that critics would slam, but blowed if I could come up with one for this list.

Oh, trading places, I haven't seen that one in years. Though I maintain 80's comedies are an underrated trove of good movies.

i loved Paul Newman so much in that film - but that character now reminds me of Dean.

Aha, yeah very much so. I think Jensen would do well in a remake of something like that, possibly even the Good the Bad and the Ugly :D

Paul Newman - so freaking gorgeous!
