Something different for a change
I was browsing Blue Lightning TV's PS tutorials and found some about creating space pictures. It's a bit late to change my RBB style but I thought I'd have a play to see what I could do, and this is the result.
Starfield-1
For some reason I had problems with the first step, I couldn't get Photoshop to change the levels. They just kept resetting themselves and wouldn't save, which was actually pretty crucial for getting the stars to appear out of the noise. But I fiddled around until I found something else that kind of made a similar effect, and it doesn't look too bad. The planet is a wood texture, and the moon is a crackled earth one. I used a different lens flare too, just for variety.

IKR? And his voice is somehow both friendly and soothing. :)

Oooo, pretty!! I'm a sucker for nice nature-y blue-green (and why not purple too), so the colors here are very nice. :D

Very nice - and I love the colours you've used. People think of space as just all black and white, but when you look at the photos NASA produces, there's every colour of the rainbow out there!

did you know that they add the colour afterwards though? i didn't realise until recently, Hubble takes the pictures in B&W, then they add colour based on the readings they've recorded. I was simultaneously intrigued and disappointed!

So much colour and shadow, and I love that shiny glare of the star!
