I've submitted my second art for spn_reversebang with a day to spare because tomorrow I'm out all day - taking Mum to Liverpool to see Rachel (my bessie mate) and my aunty Margaret. I confess, I'm really happy with this second piece! I had a lot of fun with it. Can't wait for claims on 26th...and finding out what my authors want to write! Of course it means going through the trauma of the claims process first, but hopefully this time someone will snap up my piccies straight away. LOL

Other good things today - Mum and I went for a walk into town by way of the weir this morning so we could watch the salmon leaping. Of course, every time I saw one jump out of the raging torrent, all I could think of was Salmon!Dean... Sadly, no bears. We did see five salmon though, and survived the pouring rain too. Apparently just ten miles north of us they had a mini hurricane which brought down trees and power lines. Luckily, apart from one strong gust of wind that sent Mum tottering, we saw none of that.

Watching the salmon seems both totally random and wonderfully cool to me. Of course you thought of Salmon!Dean. I mean, obviously. *Supernatural is everywhere*

haha, thanks. I will definitely have something to submit, so no worries there! It's just a matter of *how* finished it will get tonight. I might take some time tomorrow night to finish it MORE. If I actually have time tomorrow, which I might not, lol. In any case, it's done enough right now that I could submit it as-is, but it's not complete yet, lol. You know? XP

I do know - luckily for this it doesn't matter too much, as long as it's finished enough for an author to understand what's going on.

Right ^_^ It's definitely at that point, so it's a lot less stressful than it could be, lol. It'll be less stressful finishing the piece tonight than claims day will be, of that I'm nearly certain at least ;)

I LOVE CLAIMS! I mean, waiting and waiting and waiting to get picked kinda sucks, especially when it's a piece I'm so tooting happy with, but I guess the excitement and anticipation over seeing who picks what and who'll eventually pick my art wins out. This is the only time I get to play on this side of the field :D

I totally should have submitted a Salmon!Dean to complement my Trout!Abaddon.

I am ALWAYS down for weirs and salmon leaping!!!! That's so beautiful and exciting. Salmon are probably my favorite fish (second is sturgeon). Have a good trip to Liverpool--I hope you get to spend quality time with Rachel. <333333

OMG, you have a weir! That's so English. I think our salmon ladders are more or less the equivalent, but they don't sound nearly as cool.

Shrewsbury has a weir, yup. I didn't know that was an English thing though. They built a salmon ladder on the weir but the water was too high so we couldn't see it. I took some photos yesterday so I'll be posting a few when I get round to it. :D
