Inktober Day 11 plus artspam
Oct. 12th, 2016 03:07 pmI missed yesterday because I was busy trying to finish off another Knight design, but this is the image I thought of for yesterday's theme of transport, so I'll post as if I met the target LOL.
And yes, it is a little nekkid faerie Jensen. In case you were wondering.

And yes, it is pesky small and I can't draw that small any more so I don't know why I tried it. Ha ha ha!
In the spirit of Inktober:
While doing a bit of tidying up yesterday I found some of my old schoolbooks, and came across this amusing effort. It's me writing fanfiction some thirty-five years before I knew it existed... in this case it's a public school phase I was going through (Frank Richards' Greyfriars from the 1920s & 30s). This also demonstrates why I never finished anything. I'd start writing then decide I wanted to draw something, and before you know it neither came to anything.

I also found this (it's about an inch and a half long) which combines North American Indian art with some medieval motifs.

And this illuminated letter which adorned my homework when I was fourteen.

In the same homework book - a musketeer for
jj1564 with a suitably miserable and awful teenage poem.

And while I'm art-dumping, the sketchbooking class is going well. There's still a bit too much talking and not enough doing for my liking, but our tutor is such a Suffolk boy, his accent cracks me up. He was telling us to reduce our scope and it came out as redoosing yur scoop. Something was asoociated with something else, while it was nice to be haccurate in monochroom. So why don't you folloo me while I hoon in on this detail...
Here's the last two week's efforts - watercolours exploring areas of colour or shading, and practicing perspective and placing objects in space.
Yep, this is upside down, that's how I did it.

Date: 2016-10-12 03:58 pm (UTC)That illumination thing is a bit of a mess really - done with felt tips and some gold ink. The best one I did was done for my gran, a proper sized page which is hanging on my auntie's wall. I suppose I'll get it back when she pops her clogs. I don't have a photo of that one though.
