amberdreamsSo the next day in Rome dawned and we were blessed with Jensen and more Jensen, photo ops that went wrong because I can't find words when staring into the sun, and lots and lots of face achingly funny panels. My friend Monica from Australia had managed to find Jensen's resume to match Misha's from last year, and was all prepared for Misha to get some revenge. What happened instead was dancing, which was entirely unexpected and totally gobsmackingly awesome.
Jensen's solo panel - and he looked scorching hot in that pseudo denim shirt. Beats plaid any day!
And Ty crashed his panel to apologise for humping Jensen's leg to try and get him to crack (a fricking awesome moment I'd missed as I'd been at a photo op - gah!). Jensen said it was ok, he kinda liked it. Hee!
And then they shared a look of love. Bean! Denny! Tensen? LOL
Rob and Richard make a great double act, I love how these guys have met through the convention circuit and become fast friends (even though Richard reckons Rob didn't recognise him for the first 4 times they met!). The impressions they do of each other are uncannily accurate. Here's Rob demonstrating Ty's choke hold again.
And guess what? Ty crashed their panel too. JIB had put a stack of exciting looking gift boxes on stage - Rob and Richard had this party gear in theirs so Ty joined in.
In case you were wondering where Seb got to - this is the most I saw of him on stage - when he crashed the end of Misha's panel. I just can't take all the shouting, crass innuendo and sexual stupidity that he falls back on every time now. I've seen him in the coffee lounges/meet and greets and he is a totally different person in the small groups or one to one. intelligent, interesting, intellectual and genuinely funny; but I guess this is the stage persona he has adopted and now he's stuck with it. Interestingly, when we were talking to Mark Sheppard over breakfast in Birmingham, he said he won't work with Seb any more because he can't stand the way he behaves on stage either.
Brock did a joint panel with Matt - I didn't see much of Brock either but from what little I did see, he hasn't got any more interesting over the years though he is at least a little bit less nervous. Bless his little cotton socks but he's dull as ditch water.
The finale was Jensen and Misha, with the mute kid Abdullah back on stage for the 3rd time during the con. The only amusing thing about that was when the kid just sat there and wouldn't give Jensen his chair back.
A lot of my pictures are either blurry or blue (I have no idea how the blue thing happened, one day I will have to actually read my camera's manual!), so at once point I switched to black and white to see if that worked any better. It didn't but hey, we have to experiment, right? Also the two Italian women in front of me were the most fidgety people ever, and one had big hair too so most of my shots have ghostly curls at the edges. Grrrr.
But here is Misha pretending to pee through the curtains at the back where Ty had been handing large tumblers or 'apple juice' through to the boys.
Then Monica brought forth the resumes and the battle commenced - and Jensen danced. And then he danced some more!
Misha conceded defeat (I mean, Appalacian clog dancing and Tibetan throat singing is hard to beat)
Jensen laughed, a lot, and got quite sweaty (like Jared, as he pointed out).
Misha has his gayest tripping through the daisies face on in this one, I love it!
But all too soon the dancing was done, and they moved on to opening their box and playing with their growling toys.
Then it was time to say arrivederci Roma, but we got the promise of one more year out of Daniela, and Jensen's commitment to it, so although I had been saying never again....
We stayed on in Rome until the Friday, and sight saw (ha ha?) so hard we actually didn't go the the Jailbreak gig on the Monday night. Which meant we spent most of the Tuesday shouting BALLS!!! at random intervals whenever we remembered what we'd missed. Gutted doesn't really adequately cover how we felt.
My next report will be Roma sights, and then Asylum 10.
But finally, here are my JIB photo ops. On my Misha/Jensen doubles, you can play spot the difference. One of those was supposed to be a trio with Jared.
In case anyone is wondering, Angela had a ticket but had to sell it for financial reasons but Ana fell downstairs tripping over her dopey cat, and not only concussed herself but detached a retina, so her second operation on her eye meant she couldn't go at the last minute. I ended up with a load of Ty and Matt photos to replace my Jared ones.
