White Collar and other blatherings
Jul. 4th, 2011 06:41 pmwww.ch131.com is finally back in business so I have finally caught up on White Collar. I've seen some adverse comments about the fact that Neal is deceiving Peter, but although I love their relationship I think it would be far too simplistic and boring if they just became friends and Neal turned honest. The tension and bite in the show is about the tug between a real genuine respect and friendship on the one hand, and the pull of their respective callings - Peter on the side of the law and justice, Neal deep in his scams and cons - on the other. Without that, this would be a really light fluffy affair without any meaning or punch. And I LOVE Mozzy!
Next I need to get on with watching Justified and Castle....
But tonight we are off to our local park once again (third day on a row) this time to see an open air big screening of Madame Butterfly. I love my park! Not only does it double as our back garden, but we get free music and events all year round. How cool is that?
