Blood will Flow

Paul's mum died on Tuesday morning, 03:30. Paul's been ok, though sad, obviously. The last nearly two years have been really tough after her first stroke and then all the subsequent mini ones, and basically he's seen what was left of his mum gradually stripped away. So much so that death was really a relief. She was a fiercely independent and private person, and had she understood what was happening to her over this time, she'd have wanted it all to end. Now Paul is struggling with his younger brother, Tony (who still lives at home with their Dad), to get him to a) accept help when it's offered and b) to understand that Tony isn't the only one who wants to be active now in sorting stuff out. I guess Tony takes after their mum with that stubborn independent streak.

Other non significant news - fecking toothache! Had it for over a week and finally decided to see the dentist. So this morning (when it was, of course, not aching too badly) the dentist fixed on the offending tooth and has refilled it. The numbing is just wearing off and argh, raging bloody toothache again. So I've popped a couple of ibruprofen and topped it off with a paracetamol so I can eat my lunch. Hey ho. I hate my useless, cracked, overfilled teeth.

So yeah, that's it. Later today me and blackrabbit42 will be posting our joint written J2RB with the fabulous dollarformyname - I'm excited to read the final beta'd version and see all the art!

As an aside, is anyone else sick to the back teeth of seeing that effing Photobucket 3rd party hosting notice everywhere you go? I had an email from them the other day trying to persuade me to subscribe. If they'd delivered it personally I'd have been throwing rotten tomatoes at their representative before showing them the door. Even if they now reduced their stupid fee to a reasonable annual rate (like $10 pa) I'm so pissed off with them I'd tell them where to stuff their stupid site. Seeing those replacement 3rd party notices is like anti-marketing.
