So grateful and lucky lotrspnfangirl stepped in to rescue my art prompt! She's done an absolutely fabulous story, which is everything I could have wanted for this image.

Here's my prompt. I didn't take any in progress pictures, but the painting is done in gouache on a background of acrylic ink wash in my sketchbook.


I was inspired by this photo by Americansquares on Instagram. They have some great photos of diners, street scenes etc; well worth checking out if you love Americana. The photo links to their Instagram page.

I'm so fond of the colours you used and the dynamic brushstrokes for the background. The knocked over salt and the dangling necklace are such great details and make it the perfect Supernatural still life <3
