Alert in case Russia takes LJ down

You might have seen this via Supernatural Newsletter but in case you didn't - Putin is talking about cutting Russia off from the WWW on 11th March. Since automatic importing to DW isn't working at the moment and some of us have year's and year's worth of stuff, one way of preserving it for yourself at least is this site beelikej found which converts your blog into a PDF.

Hi there! I did successfully import everything from my LJ to DW yesterday, so it does work. Just log in to your DW account, and then use their import function. It did mine in about an hour including comments! It made me feel good to know that it's all backed up. I still follow you and one other person on LJ so I wanted to let you know. :)

Thanks! I think the problems they were having a few days ago have been resolved, I've heard loads of people have now been successful importing. Phew. It makes things a lot easier. I'm glad I'd imported mine sporadically since the last LJ meltdown...

I have now also found a method to download all images from my LJ scrapbook, all neatly sorted in folders with the file names! I wrote a step-by-step in my Dreamwidth (https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/573690.html).

FYI: I also updated our SPN_ReverseBang community on DW:)
