Weekend sunshine

Went for a gentle windswept walk on Sunday - the sunshine was lovely!
A bit hard to see, but left to right you have the modern port with giant container ships, leading round to WW2 fortifications and the Napoleonic fort, a little journey through nearly 3 centuries. There was a fort there earlier than 1744 but there's nothing left to see of that in the photo.

It feels like spring too but last few years winter's come back for Feb/March so who knows!
The lemonade's pink comes from the rose essence, I think.

I love an obligatory seagull, those guys know how to pose. It's amazing how much that defese station looked like a church though. Lovely photos.

It's a 30 minute drive from where I live, so not exactly on my doorstep but it is nice to be able to get there so easily.
