Clarion Call

We popped down to the waterfront this evening to catch a performance of some 'art' - this one's called Clarion Call and it's supposed to evoke the waiting women of WW1. THere are arrays of speakers placed on rooftops all around the marina, then a helicopter flies over and supposedly boosts the singing that is being broadcast via the speakers. It's being performed twice a day for a week or so, and it's kind of interesting, I suppose. My hubby really likes it, and has been down to listen a couple of times now - I'm not that struck by it but it was worth going the once.
There's a video of some of the singing, if anyone's interested. The nicest bits are around 4-5 minutes in.
I actually think it would be better without the helicopter noise, but then we were also being treated to a daft bloke on his balcony who was blowing a shofar when we arrived and then got out a megaphone and shouted throughout the performance. Because apparently this was all a conspiracy of evil God-haters, and the singers were sun-worshiping witches. Yeah of course they were, because they were women. Blimey, some people are really nutty.
Here's the religious dingbat with his shofar.

More importantly, here are some pretty pictures of the sunset and the marina. My town is really rather charming sometimes.

One of our medieval churches on the way down to the marina, just catching the lowering sunlight nicely

Bonus Trump pinata from a cafe by the Dance studio, which made me giggle
