I'm having such a good time...

Just got back from Bohemian Rhapsody and I'm exhausted! I feel like I was just at Wembley and actually there for Live Aid instead of what really happened, watching it on telly in our living room back in 1985. I am also so, so grateful they didn't play the credits out with either The Show Must Go On or Who Wants to Live Forever, because I'm choked up enough as it is. Either of those two songs would have reduced me to an ugly sobbing mess.

Suffice it to say - if you like Queen's music even a little bit, this was frigging excellent. If you like Queen a lot you will LOVE this film.

This comes our here 2nd November and I had been really looking forward to it. I LOVE Queen. And then it got terrible reviews in the newspapers over here (like, 2 stars) and I got worried. The film crits here did concede that Rami Malek was brilliant, but said he wasn't enough to 'rescue' the film.

Seeing this from you has cheered me up no end, as I trust your judgement more than some stuffy film crit! :)

Really? Well I admit I'm not an expert Queen fan in the sense of having followed their lives, or even buying a lot of their albums but Freddie's death affected me a lot back in the 90s. Maybe if you know a ton about them and their history this film doesn't stand up? I don't know but I'm glad I didn't see any reviews beforehand, because I loved it. The music is fab and I thought the acting was convincing from everyone, not just Malik.

My brother and I have been mulling over whether to see this (we've been on a cinema roll the last few weeks; Venon, A Star is Born, and First Man). You've got me excited to see it now!!!

Ohhhh, I'll have a word with my brother, but I think it's a must see!

I adored all the movies I've been recently; all very different, but stellar in their own ways. We saw First Man on Tuesday, and I suspected it was going to be very good, but it still managed to be better than I thought.

You're the second person to say First Man was really good - maybe I'll persuade my cinema buddy to go see it next week.
