I ran out of time! Again! Any how, here's my second art fill for the DWBB.
This was a pinch hit for profound-boning's cute Hogwarts/SPN crossover. Fans of weechesters and Harry Potter will definitely enjoy this fic!

A scene from the very start of the fic - guess what the owl has in his beak? :D

This is a digitally enhanced version to make the colours a bit more intense and add the highlighting; the earlier, traditional media versions are below.

The gif was made exclusively using photoshop, saving the different stages of faded text and then loading the c15 different versions into makeagif.com. I constructed the paper and envelope from a paper texture overlaid with a nice pinky parchment-like texture. The seal is made up from a png download and my own fiddling with texts. The Hogwarts crest was a download.

I haven't got the PS file open right now but if anyone wants to know what the fonts or textures are, just shout.

Okay let's got with actual words, shall we? lol! I love the tiny owl out the window, the attention to that detail makes the scene feel all the more real, plus I have a serious love of 'window' moments for my fave characters. It ranges from that first moment Harry sits in his Gryffindor dorm room window, with Hedgewig, all the way to me as a kid pinning my curtains, with pegs, to the edges of my bedstead and cocooning myself in the window area whilst counting constellations. Just lovely hun.

Ah I have good window memories too - my bed was right under the window. I used to watch Orion over Rachel's house, I loved getting frost flowers on cold winter mornings. High fives for windows!
