This is cool! I was just explaining the Winter Solstice to my students yesterday and there was a photograph and description of Stonehenge in the book I was using. The kids were fascinated!

I'm at my hubby's work's do, annoyingly. I haven't done a Winter or Spring Equinox there in so long, but then again I did one of the Winter ones long enough ago that the Stones weren't fenced and we could dance Sky Clad as much as we liked ;)

I think I'd rather go the Newgrange to see one there, but still, it would be pretty good to be at Stonehenge. Though I'd also rather do one of those events without a bit crowd of people there too! Ain't gonna happen.

*snerks* Well Stonehenge's Winter Solstice Celebrations were legendary for some shit that should never happen in public, I always wanted to do it again despite the fencing and the shitty glares off the attendants.

I've done summer solstice on Glastonbury Tor, and that was fun. I was definitely passively stoned when I wandered back down into the town!
