Hare we go again!
Nov. 13th, 2017 01:23 pmMy hare arrived today! The delivery chap didn't call until he was actually on my doorstep, so I was in the queue in Poundland at the time. It's a good job our house is slap bang in the town centre so it only took me five minutes to buy my goodies and rush home. By the time I got there Delivery Guy had unloaded the bubble-wrapped hare and plonked him on my drive.
Hare he is...

Then Delivery Guy said he couldn't even unscrew the sculpture from the pallet, let alone bring it into the house, so I had to do all that myself. Unlucky for me, my friendly lady over at the museum wasn't about today to help, as the museum's closed on Mondays. Luckily I had a wheelie thingy I found being thrown away a couple of months ago at the back of the Art Gallery. I liberated it and saved it for future painting projects, so with a lot of shuffling and tilting I managed to get the hare up the front steps and onto his wheels in the hall. He's not properly balanced but should be ok until Paul gets home and we can try and carry the hare upstairs, where his studio (aka the spare bedroom) awaits.

He's a lot slimmer than the bears! I want to unwrap him, but there's no point in doing that until we've finished manouevering him around. It's going to be a real chalelnge to work out how to fit the design on his front because the forelegs are so far forward of the body. I shall, of course, keep y'all posted!
