The banner was a photoshop construct, everything else is traditional with some PS colouring.
There was a lot of great imagery in the fic, I was spoilt for choice. The story starts in a futuristic domed city, then moves outside the dome, where everything is a bit more post-apocalyptic.
Here's a scene in the Outlands, Jared and Jensen camped out.
This scene is a little later; crossing the Outlands is a hazardous undertaking...
I know the style of these other pieces isn't consistent with the banner, but that is partially deliberate, to contrast between inside the city and what's happening in the Outlands.
That was all I ended up having time for, though I have a list of scenes I'd have liked to tackle!
Process ramblings:
When I say the banner was a construct, that's exactly right LOL. The building with the globe is made from three times a picture of The Shard in London, and a Malasian science museum. The flyover and the other buildings are from a couple of different photos and I've manipulated them using the transform and other PS tools to make them look right. The whole lot is then overlaid with a multiplied bokeh texture. I used a Blue Lightning TV tutorial to do the metallic text effects.
The other art all started out with pencil drawings, using Aquarelle graphite pencils and washes.
I did Jensen first, and ended up liking this one the best of all the drawings I did fortwoboys2love .
I tried to draw Jared in a similar way, but I just couldn't get him right. This is the first attempt and the one I used in the campfire piece.
I tried to draw him again but I don't think this one was any more successful really.
Finally, here's the drawing underneath the PS effects of the falling scene.
