Picking up where I left off - let's do a little round up and take in number 9.

No: 9 A song that makes me happy. Ok - there are two at the moment, fairly new on my playlist.
First is the handsome devil, Jack. And a huge thankyou to jj1564 for introducing me to him!

This one is just so beautiful, I'm listening on repeat at the moment for that soaring section...just lovely!

And then there's this one. A perfect mix of Americana and reggae, and totally a SPN-appropriate song.

You know when you see a singer, and you assume he's going to sound a specific way, Jack sounds nothing like he did in my imagination. A pretty good illustration of never judge a book by it's cover.

Aaaaah! That explains the brevity of the song! I definitely prefer the Hooters with all the harmonica and the added reggae rhythm. It actually reminds be of Big Pink's awesome Dean story about the railroad haunting...

I do like the reggae rhythm on this version, but I'll always love the original as it's so haunting, even if it is short!

She rewrote the fic as an original story so took the fic down - but I have it here on Mega if you want to download it. I'd recommend the book version too - her OCs are engaging and the story is different enough to be equally good. She's still one of the best writers of hurt!angsty!Dean...
