Everyone's been doing this so you know me, I can resist anything but temptation.

1. How long have you been on LiveJournal?
Since 2010. I had to check on my profile because I couldn't remember.

2. How did you come up with your online name(s)? Does it have any special meaning?
The Amber part comes from my initials, the dreams just because this part of my online existence is all about fantasy. I changed it from my original LJ name because this was the name I really wanted and it became available a couple of years ago.

3. Why did you join LJ?
I initially joined because I wanted to be able to comment on people's stories and art, then slowly realised I should also post my own work here too, once I sussed out how LJ communities worked, and how to use friending to have conversations.

4. What do you like about it? What keeps you active here?
I love everything about it. I love the people, the sense of community that still exists in spite of the lure of Tumblr and the like, I love the intelligence and the humour and the warm atmosphere of inclusiveness. I love my flist, I love the challenges, the variety.

5. Do you remember what made you add me as a friend? If so, what was it?
It doesn't really make much difference if I'm talking about any one person over another. Mostly I started adding people so I could follow their work and generally lurk, now I add people so I can talk to y'all.

6. Where in the world do you live? (Feel free to be as specific/unspecific as you'd like, I'm just curious how far spread my online friends are)
Suffolk in England

7. Tell me one random/happy/good thing about your day!
I've started a slow catch up for Inktober! I'm way behind but I don't care, I'll work my way through the prompts even if I end up in November.

I love how positive people feel about LJ in general. The people who stick around genuinely enjoy this space, and that's cool.
