Somewhat predictable, maybe? Especially after going through a pile of old schoolbooks this morning. Horses used to be one of my staple doodles.
And no SPN flavour today!
Because I'm a bit more organised today you get a preview/closeup:

I thought I'd try some washes this time, so this one is using a brush tip pen then a bit of water on a paintbrush. the lighting effect was the sun through the window and I liked it so didn't bother repositioning the pic for another photo.

Fear not, dear flisties, though I'm posting very day I'm not expecting people to keep up with this Inktober thing. I'm not sure I'll keep up either! One thing it is doing - scaring me with how quickly this month is going!

haha, it didn't even occur to me that the light effect was, well, light! Pretty awesome how that worked out though :) I really, really love what you did with the different shades, and it's helpful to hear what type of pen specifically you're using, as well as your other methods to create different effects. Sometimes I feel like a giant baby troll, just flailing my stubby arms with art supplies clutched in my fat-fingered hands, hoping something decent shows up on whatever canvas is in front of me, lol. It's good to learn what other artists do to create their works :)

And omg, right? Daily challenges really do make the days seem to fly by all that much faster. Yikes!! You're doing a lovely job so far though, and I'm enjoying everything that you share! :)

I totally empathise with your fat stubby finger-feelings - and I'm ashamed how many art supplies i've been hoarding over the years. My sketching course I just started wanted us to bring water colours last week. I dug my set of nice quality tubes out - all totally dried up. Then I calculated how long I'd had them - a minimum of 30 years, untouched in a drawer. *sigh*

Thank you! The brush pen makes me want to be a bit freer with the lines so I'm glad you like it.

I shall be keeping up with it, I *love* your doodles and stuff, and when it's just for *you* they're even better :D
Tell me about it, I've managed two! lol! And I *know* I won't get to the others in order or in a linear fashion, but hey, it's all about the creating, right?
I love the sun dapple across the page, very well placed and the effect of the water on the paintbrush across the ink, lovely :D

I'm sticking (so far) to the order they are given because I need the discipline to force me into the daily drawing. But we'll see how we get on hey?!

I was supposed to be writing today but my brain is still in art mode and I didn't kill my hands yesterday, so I'm going to try and get some more pieces done today :) I am loving this holiday m'larky ;)

Lovely picture. Oddly, my favorite bit is the fence... Though catching the horse in jumping motion is excellent too. :)

I'm glad you like the fence - it was a bit of an after thought!

That's really awesome! The fence and that one flowerish plant especially look great, not to mention the horse. :D

Great details. I really like the tall plants and the grain on the wood of the fence. The wash came out really nicely too.
