As most of you know, I'm not officially doing the 100 days, but here's a random happy post covering a number of days and topics!

Firstly, we just saw beelikej onto the ferry home - smooth sailing, petal! We had a lovely if intensive two days during her visit - the first day we had nine hours walking round as many pigs as we could fit in. Given that beelikej injured herself just a few days before and was on crutches, I think that was a remarkable effort! We did take frequent ice cream- and drink-breaks, in case you think I was forcing the poor girl to walk all day LOL. I think we saw about 25 of the 39 big pigs in total, then a further five yesterday on the way to and from the train station, so that's an impressive haul!

For anyone on her group undertaking the exercise challenge, I can witness that she did more than enough of a workout both days!!

My Paul had to put up with quite a few fannish conversations over the weekend, but in spite of that, he bravely joined us yesterday for one of our fan get togethers in London. It was a special one as we had three other new visitors - our JIB & Facebook buddy Wendy from Belgium, beelikej and bonus anactoria, who popped across to join us during a lull in the Nine Worlds convention. It was lovely to meet up with one of my Big Bang authors after exchanging so many emails! I've met so many fan-folk now, and everyone is so blooming NICE! What an awesome fandom we have.

Apart from the newbies, we had xlittleangx, theymp, and dizzojay - Sadly jj1564 and milly_gal were both out of action due to illness and injury. Missed you, my dears!

And finally - the Olympics! Yay! It's going well for Team GB, but this Irish pair of rowers (brothers) have given the best interviews so far. Such a laugh, real gas men. Their accents make me miss my Irish friends from Cork.

I volunteered for trail monitoring duties so have hung around my pig to hand out the trail maps - it is fun to see the kids' faces light up and have them shouting oh look, minions, then - no! Pig minions! My hubby saw one little girl kissing him goodbye once, because he was her favourite. It makes me smile!
