If I called, would you pick up?

Summary: Ruby watches Sam grieving for Dean.

Sam’s cell phone ringer plays Smoke on the Water.  He won’t tell you why, but it’s rather obvious.
Every time it rings his eyes get all shiny with unshed tears.  Mostly it’s you calling, so you don’t have to tolerate his grief too often. It’s a weapon in your hand, but it still makes you mad how Dean grips your boy’s heart from beyond the grave.
Sam told you once, drunk and maudlin, Dean used to call him at Stanford.  He’d never answered.  After a while, Dean gave up.
You know he’d give anything for Dean to call him now.
