It's that meme going round - I wasn't going to do it then I got sucked in.... Now I need to go read everyone else's!

1. Deangirl or Samgirl?
Dean will always be my hero.  He just fits the ideal I’ve been carrying around in my heart since I was a kidlet – tortured, self sacrificing, enduring, vulnerable, loyal – he puts his love out there over and over again, in spite of the fact that he knows he shouldn’t because it is likely to blow up in his face.   Yet he is also funny, and so damn handsome it hurts.  I love Sam but in a totally different way.  The key to my love for the show though, is the two brothers together – if Dean didn’t have Sam, or vice versa, it just wouldn’t work for me.

2. Casgirl, yes or no?
Yes.  I thought Cas added a new dynamic and unlike a lot of people, I actually loved the introduction of the whole angel/Heaven/Hell storyline.  Cas is not essential for my enjoyment of the show, but I still like to have him there, doing his best to understand these weird humans.

3. Favorite season?
Season 4 – for the completeness of it in terms of the overarching storyline.  I loved how Sam gradually fell apart, how Dean struggled through his hell memories to try and deal with Sam, I loved the impending sense of doom.  It might have been helped by it being the first season I watched ‘live’, having come into the world of SPN late.

It is actually really hard to pick a season as every time I rewatch I find something to like – I still adore seasons 1 and 2, but then I’ll watch season 3 and think this ain’t half bad

4. Favorite episode(s) from your favorite season?
Ok so having said Season 4 – then I have to say Lazarus Rising.   Apart from anything else, I love how it is filmed, how the shots are framed, so many beautiful images – like Dean’s hand shoving up desperately through the soli and grass; that aerial shot of the blast site; the scene where Dean walks down the empty road to the gas station; the shot where he looks out of the smashed windows after Castiel’s voice has blasted them… And the passion in that hug when the brothers are reunited.

There are other episodes I might like more but not many!

5. Season you're most likely to re-watch?

Hard.  I have rewatched all of them several times apart from Season 6, where I’ve just rewatched to odd episode.

6. Season you hate the most?
It has to be season 6 just because it was so bloody disappointing.  I really wanted the storyline to go somewhere and it just didn’t.  But even so, there are some episodes that I’d rate right up there with the best, so it wasn’t a total bust.

7. Favorite episode of the current season?
Still the first two for the sheer relentless pacing of them.

8. Least favorite episode from the current season?
Time for a Wedding. I bet everyone will say the same thing; though when I watched it again recently it wasn’t quite as bed as I remembered.  It was still pretty poor though.

9. Favorite angel (besides Cas)?
Zachariah.  He was just such an awesomely slimy douchenozzle, wasn’t he?  I loved him to bits for his snarky moments with Dean, and the whole idea of creating an angel middle management level was inspired.

10. Least favorite angel?
Michael.  He was the biggest dick of the lot really – no imagination, no gumption, no character.

11. Favorite demon?
It’s a toss up between Azazel and Alastair – and I think Azazel just scrapes it because he got the best lines.

12. Least favorite demon?
I’ve kind of gone off Meg since Rachel Miner took over the character, and this season in particular I am not finding her convincing.  Still they might surprise me with some unexpected twist that will reignite my interest…

13. Favorite one-episode character?

Missouri.  I know some folk thought she was mean to Dean, but I loved that whole interaction with him. I want her back to whack him with a spoon for being angsty, then give the boys a big hug and let them cry on her shoulder about losing Bobby.

14. Sam's hair looked best in which season?
Oh I don’t know!!! I liked the youthful bangs but I also like the Season 7 floaty flowing locks – did you see his hair bounce when he ran through the night after old father time? Awesome.  To be honest – I love Jared’s hiatus hair and scruff, so maybe I should pick his season 7 hair in The Born Again Identity.

15. If the show would have ended the way Kripke wanted it to, with Sam and Dean battling each other and jumping into the hole together (and God might show mercy on them, idk), would you have preferred that?
I didn’t feel cheated with Swan Song in the end, although I think a blaze of glory ending would have been a great way to finish season 5 IF there had been no chance of a season 6.  I am hoping that they will find a way to end the show the way it should finish and that we can leave the Winchesters knowing that they will get their rest when they are done.  There needs to be some justice and some reward for all that sacrifice.

16. Best cast character throughout the whole show?
SamnDean, DeannSam.  Those boys are just so good – they’ve taken scripts that are not necessarily giving them the wittiest dialogues in the world and created two characters that are not only completely believable but have grown and developed and changed through out the show.  I mean – kudos to Jensen and Jared for the totally stellar performances they have put in.

17. Do you think Chuck is God?
I think God took the shape of Chuck for five minutes at the end of that season and went poof.

18. Who's a hotter psychic, Patrica Arquette, Jennifer Love Hewitt or Sam?
Does my bum look big in this?

19. Freedom or Peace?
Peace comes with freedom.  It would be a restless peace without it.

20. Dimples, freckles, eye-crinkles, bowlegs, bangs, woobie frowns or jaw clinches?
It’s all in the eyes.  And the lips.  Freckles are an adorable bonus.

21. Favorite kind of monster?
Ones I can believe in – and there haven’t been that many to be honest!  I think Gordon Walker and the Benders were the scariest – and they were human.  Which is probably an accurate reflection of our world.

22. Weapon of choice?

Mine or theirs?  I’d go for a sword myself, but for our boys, I love to see them doing jazz hands with a handgun.  Which is totally against my principles in real life but that’s why I love it in fantasyland, baby!

23. Favorite death?
Bobby – to have his final word being idjits was just so fitting.  Though Ellen and Jo's ending was the most moving, I still cry every time I watch it.

24. Favorite minor character's death?
The very first angel death in that car park in the rain when the camera pulled back to reveal the burnt shadow wings on the wet tarmac – what a stunning image that was.

25. Pre-apocalyptic, apocalyptic or post-apocalyptic?
Post apocalyptic scenarios are fascinating for their creative possibilities.  Humanity finding its best and worst traits in the face of adversity.

26. Scariest episode?

I don’t actually find SPN scary at all.  I dislike graphic gore but that is more squick and avert thine eyes than a scary moment.  For example one of my least fave episodes is Metamorphosis simply because of the grizzly chowing down on the old hunter and suchlike.

27. Best song that mattered for a scene? (you can't choose Carry on Wayward Son)

Silent Lucidity in Heart was the most moving, I also loved how they used Laugh I nearly Died and of course – Renegade in Night Shifter.  God, it makes me pine for some classic rock uses again – come on show!

28. Best and worst young versions of characters?
Colin Ford. THE BEST.
Brock Kelly. Sorry Brock, but you were just totally WRONG – and I know that was always going to be difficult given that most of us have seen exactly how Jensen Ackles looked when he was young, but surely they could have got someone more believable.

29. Characters I ship like crazy?

It depends how well it is written (given that the show doesn’t ship anyone!).  I can ship Dean and Sam, or Dean and Lisa, Sam and Jess, Dean and Cas… It’s probably easier to say ships I find it hard to believe – Sam and Gabriel for instance!

30. Favorite female character?
Ellen, and Pamela Barnes – and Missouri!

31. Best and worst season intro and finale?
Tough!!!!! The Pilot stands the test of time for a season intro but as that was also the whole show intro, maybe I’d go for a double header – best finale still season 1’s Devil’s Trap for sheer shock value and drama, and best intro, In my Time of Dying for the way it set up the fateful series of events to come over the next 3 seasons.

I agree that humans are the scariest monsters for the Winchesters to fight--because they can't summarily dispatch them, esp. when they are the 'good guys' like Henrickson!

True, even when some humans they've encountered have been worse than the so called monsters!

And I miss Henricksen....

Nice answers! I was nodding along. And yes, humans can be awful monsters and I like the way SPN explores that.
