Season 6 - no apologies - it rocks!

I loved the angel demon storylines, but this season is surpassing all my expectations and is so strongly written so far, I really cannot see what people have to gripe about.  We are being challenged but challenged with the unexpected, the uncomfortable not with pathetic attempts to recreate something that is dead and should stay dead - and that can only be good thing....
If it were hackneyed, cliched or badly written, I could understand the moaning - or if the acting quality was deteriorating and the actors displaying a jaded, lazy attitude.  But no - they are giving us new and exciting stories and the actors are all hitting this darned thing so far out of the park the ball has gone into orbit.

I agree. The season is hurty, but I'm not really seeing the re-threading of old storylines if not on the surface.

Some people, in my opinion, aren't really looking for a TV show; they are looking for a safety blanket that they can curl around themselves and that always feels and smells the same. Which is why every time I read someone moaning about season 6 I can always hear the distinct cry of a big baby in the background ;)

This is a good story they're telling! And the Campbells are part of their family history - everyone hated the Roadhouse when it was first introduced, too.

Like it or not - it is what it is. Complaining about it wont change a thing.

Sometimes a story takes you where you don't want to go - but that's the story. Commiserate wtih the characters - don't dis the story. Do people even realize how lucky we are to have gotten this season...and god willing...another *dares to hope!*

I can't understand people complaining about the Campbells - we need new characters as foils for the main ones, the Winchesters need something to play against and having characters who are ambiguous is great - will they be allies or enemies or even fall somewhere in between?
And yes, all the best stories take us places we might never otherwise think to go...

I love this season so far, awesome, amazing to watch and this coming from a person who didn't like the angel demon storyline, but still supports the show 100% and never anything less.

I admit, I am a sucker for the epic tales, but those mean nothing if you don't have feeling for the main protagonists, and to get that kind of connection you need to see those characters placed in many different situations where they can demonstrate their strengths and weaknesses - and that is where all the MOW stories come into their own.
This show has given us so much variety!
