Steampunk masquerade art

Of the long list of prompts I had saved, this was the only one I ended up filling. I expect y'all knew it was me, huh?

I’d like Jared and Jensen to attend a lavish Steampunk masquerade party. They don’t know each other but when they meet they instantly hit it off. Where the night takes them that’s for you to decide. No rape please.

Process:
I wanted to try this lovely pose - I don't know who made the original manip, it's kind of famous though, isn't it? Maybe belfagor? But anyhow, I love it.

I did a search on steampunk to get some ideas and found a heart-shaped watch which gave me the idea for Jensen's mechanical heart. I just mish-mashed a bundle of steampunky ideas, picked a military style cap because I wanted a hat that could be easily turned sideways by Jared... ahem.
Then I drew in PS, shaded in PaintTool Sai and added the curtains to give it a sense of seclusion and secrecy.

Hot damn, I love the detail work on this! All the steampunky buckles and gears and Victorian style fixings are phenomenal. And I particularly adore your use of white lines as highlights, and especially the tendons in JP's hand. Awesome!

I absolutely adore this! I think I mentioned this on masquerade already, but I LOVE the choice of hat you gave Jensen and Jared's gauntlet arm. And that heart! All the little intricate clockwork pieces are just lovely! Fantastic job!

This is gorgeous! The colouring and line work fit perfectly with the theme. The detail is wonderful, the heart is magnificent. Beautiful play of light using the white to highlight. Nicely done!

Love it; the intimate setting makes me want to open the curtains even further;) The expression on Jensen's face, Jared's ponytail, the chin-grabbing and open mouth kissing are all giving me lots of feelings. Add to that the marvelous steampunk details (his HEART, Jared's fingerless glove) and my mind just wanders off to a wonderful AU with obsessed inventor Jared and his Pinocchio MAN. <3<3 Great job, bb.
