SDCC Nerd panel vid - just putting this here

I stayed up last night to watch this and what a strange mixed experience this was! Only about two proper questions from the audience, many shenanigans from the boys on stage, Aisha confirms all the fanfics that portray Jared as a very happy, huggy drunk and there is a long discussion about Jared's taint and his mole that looks like Sam Winchester...

And then Jared chokes up talking about his low self worth, which just breaks everyone's heart.
It was worth staying awake for, but compared to last year's Nerd panel, this one felt a bit flat somehow. Maybe because Jensen seemed a bit quiet. Maybe he was hung over! I hope Misha's family crisis that sent him home was all sorted out, anyhow.

Ok after watching again this morning, I take it back - it was so much better seeing it without the time laggings and freezing and missed bits...a lot more fun!

When I started watching the Nerd HQ I was concerned it was never going to go any where! I thought it was all going to be people giving them gifts, but then it settled down and boy was it entertaining. I love it when they go from joking around to being serious (though I really wanted to hear Mark's answer to Jensen's one about directing). Alisha is simply wonderful - she knows SO much and has an obvious connection to the boys.

The con has been pretty great. I haven't seen a lot of wank, which has been nice I gotta say. I didn't know Misha went home for a family emergency. I hope things are ok.

Misha tweeted that everything was okay and he simply had a very short time window to see his kids this weekend and that's why he left already. so nothing to worry about.

I haven't seen any wank but then i don't usually hang out in the wank-pool LOL! Oh apart from someone on my flist in a paddy because she'd read on Tumblr that next season was all about Sam angsting and self immolation - and I have NO idea where that came from. Unless it was from Jared's sad little part about how he and Sam are the same in feeling they might be letting people down and that they aren't good enough. Which was in answer to what they thought they had in common with their character and was answered in relation to early seasons, and had no bearing on Season 11 whatsoever. But well. Tumblr. Say no more.

I don't remember hearing anything spoilery in the NerdHQ panel. Haven't watched the full SDCC one yet (only the parts someone posted on periscope last night but nothing really spoilery in that part either.

I watched all of both panels and usually try and steer well clear of spoilers but I'd call both of these spoiler free. Jeremey Carver talks a tiny bit about season 11 in the main panel but gave nothing away at all that you couldn't have inferred from the finale.

The requests to get something signed or a hug are always annoying and IMHO have no place in a panel. But they also always happen. And I really didn't mind the other shenanigans so IMHO it was a good panel. Last year there was a lot of distracting fans and trying to upstage the others (especially from Mark) which IMHO took much more time away from the panel than we had this year. So for me it was a win.

Yeah now I've watched it again without interruptions it was a lot more enjoyable, in fact, like you say, it was probably better than last year. And yeah, good questions are actually as rare as hen's teeth.

I thought the happy huggy Jared thing was hilarious! And the TAINT, oh Aisha! She is a riot. I did think Jensen was quiet, so yeah, maybe hung over? But it was good. I also loved how the 11th doctor towered over JARED, and Mark was like, this is my life!

Jensen wasn't hung-over since he wasn't out partying with Jared last night as he said in the panel he was dealing with real apple juice and Aisha said... oh that's because they are here with you, meaning his family.

He seemed to be pretty low key and I think it is because his mind is on his directing. They went back last night and today starts day five of his episode. He was having issues before filming when they were just scouting and brain storming with having a vision for the episode. I think he is just work oriented at the moment. But he did step up to the plate with the unicorn head.

I liked the panel. Last year was over the top because of Mark and Misha. It got way out of control with money flying, kisses and hugs to everyone and lots of non panel related things.

I did love that Jared was made to feel short with the guy who was I am sure at least 7feet tall. He was a good head taller than Jared, he had to look up to him and mark only came to just below the guys nipple line. lol

Yeah I enjoyed it much more watching it this morning uninterrupted! And Jensen contributed more than I'd thought on the first viewing - there were some really hilarious moments and the emotional ones were moving rather than cringe-worthy.

It's only a brief moment (and I think it's near the start). He had a moment in the main panel too. The boy is all heart.
